First Day of School!!

August 6th had been planned out as our first day of school for months! I was just hoping with all the moving it would still be a reality.  We were especially excited because for the first time in 4 years we would be joining with the Carpenter family for school co-op.  It had been a crazy busy week of unpacking and settling in but we were ready for school!
I let everyone choose their own outfit (including Emily) and Emily even decided to do her own hair with LOTS of gel. :)

William and Emily will be doing First Grade together.  We decided Will could handle it and it would be easier for me to have atleast two kids in the same grade.

Logan is in second grade. I am very proud of the progress he has made so quickly with his schooling. He is able to do the majority of his work independently.

Camrynn is in sixth grade. She has been anxious to get back to school.
Juliette is in 10th grade. She is looking forward to being able to do drivers ed this year.

We weighed and measured everyone. The kids love this part.  It is so much fun to see how much everyone changes by the end of the year.  We also went through the books and what would be expected of everyone every day.

Emily and Will start out with some bookwork.
Cams was so excited she started her school the night before so during snack she chilled out with her book report book.
Julie enjoys her desk in the quiet of her room.
We break up the book work with running on the treadmill or jumping on the trampoline.  It helps kids stay focused.

Trying to get a group shot with my five can be hard... with nine it was much harder.  My boys especially seem to make goofy faces.
So why fight it?

On Mondays and Wednesdays the Carpenters will be joining us for math and science co-op for the youngest 3.  Fridays will be P.E. class, reports and project presentations, and Keeper of the Faith Club for everyone.
We are super excited for another fun school year.
