Keepers of the Faith

Friday, August 17th was our first official Keepers of the Faith meeting.

We have the Keepers at Home girls group and the Contenders of the Faith boys group.  We will be having Bible memory and character study lessons together.  For our badges we will sometimes be working together and sometimes separate.

For our first meeting the boys were working with tools and the girls started handsewing.

 They had to identify several tools and show how to use them.  We sent them outside to pound. :)

We stayed inside for the younger set to learn how to thread a needle and make a knot.  The older girls were told to find a project that would meet all the requirements for their higher level badge.

 

Success! She got the needle threaded and tied her own knot!
We look forward to many more weeks of lessons and fun!
